KD House is a custom home in Halton Hills, Ontario. We aimed to create an inclusive space, warm and welcoming. Our client came to us seeking a new place to call home. With their kids ready for the next stages of their life in college and university, the owners wanted to create a refuge for everyone to come home to after busy school years: in a short term and a place for grandkids in the long term.
A strong focus was put into the home's flow, and function. With all rooms having a strong visual or physical connection to the amazing outdoor spaces that this 3 acres lot had to offer; we created that will be enjoyed for years to come!
The unique layout provides a flow that is ideal for cooking and entertaining with the kitchen at the center, and all adjacent spaces. The double sided water feature unifies separate living and kitchen areas. A doubled height living area and entrance foyer elevates this home into a functional, stylish nd the calm escape from urban rigors.
